I Wonder How The Deer Feel

When you look up, startled and someone refers to your look as "a Deer caught in the headlights," do you ever wonder what that feels like to the poor deer?

Life screams all around us and we often lose concentration, only to be caught up, short, startled and surprised as circumstances sneak up and catch us off guard.

Jesus neither sneaks, nor startles. His Word is constantly near you, offering comfort, joy and pushing you toward that which He has waiting for you, today.

Let Him come in and change your world by giving you another perspective on hurry, work, fear and frustration. He's worth it. He thinks you are and if you give just a little, He'll fill the empty places with His light.

In The Valley of Trouble

In The Valley of Trouble

Hosea 2:15
15 There I will give her back her vineyards,
and will make the Valley of Achor a door of hope...
(NIV)

Have you heard the phrase, “Jesus came to comfort the troubled and trouble the comfortable?” He did and He does. His hands reach across time and space to hold us when we most need held and turn us when we so desperately need corrected.

Have you ever climbed a hill seeking solitude from the troubles of life? We often seek quiet places to reflect and ponder life’s challenges. It is in those quiet places that God does His most life changing work. The closeness of God’s creation and the simple beauty of His handiwork, combine to clear our minds of the troubles and concerns that slow us down and clutter our lives.

It is in those powerful, reflective moments that we are free to sit quietly and listen for the footsteps of God.

Lord, free our hearts from the noise and clutter so that we might hear Your footsteps in our life.
